I love this place. I loved it when it was on Argyle St and I think I like it more now that it's under the Marquee. Always high quality musical entertainment in the offing. The Seahorse has a vibe all its own - it's just one of those venues. The bar staff were really nice and were quick to sling drinks, and I was also really impressed by the tall dude doing security checking IDs and stuff. I think they're subcontracted (shadow security?) but he was INCREDIBLY polite and professional.

It was a good experience I won’t lie. It’s probably one of the best bars/club you can go to in Halifax. It really depends on what the event is that night and what you’re into!

The live music is so good! The drummer was killing it. The bartender gets grumpy if you ask for water though.

Seahorse Tavern, I have heard about your establishment for years. My best friend and I finally made it to visit. I live in Edmonton, originally from Bathurst, my best friend is from Bathurst. We were in Halifax on my family affairs. We stopped be the Seahorse all 4 nights we were there. A couple times twice a day. . The Seahorse was awesome fun. Your staff were amazing, great atmosphere, great service and lots of fun and laughs. It was an honor and privilege to be there. Thank you very much. .

Fantastic little spot 2 blocks away from the Scotia Bank Center. I was lucky enough to catch two tribute bands on a Saturday night and it was one of the best nights out in a while. The acoustics were great and the sound engineer was on top of things the whole night. The beer was cold and reasonably priced. Service was fast and busers were busy all night. The bathroom was clean as well. Cover was only 10 and the two bands were worth way more. Well worth the walk and price of admission.

Best dancing spot in Halifax! Great atmosphere, cheapish drinks and friendly staff. Bathrooms could be improved, but a lot cleaner than other bars in halifax

The live music along with the vibe of the place changes the whole mood to fills it with exotic next. Interior of the place will make you think for a moment how good thoughts have been put in to put a such a space. Really recommend if you are in Halifax and are looking for more than just a club night, a night filled with the energy of a live band. Don’t miss it and honestly you won’t regret. Great job! People keep the exotic vibe going.

The part we went to was the basement. There were several live bands. The music was enjoyable. The beer selection is a little poor, the beer prices are reasonable, and the waitresses were prompt and friendly. The ladies at the coat check were very friendly. I had a great evening and would not hesitate to go back again.
